Our client are modular construction specialists, with recent projects include bespoke sports facilities, warehousing, manufacturing facilities, maritime storage solutions, and exhibition venues.

Our client has grown steadily over the past 15 years and with plans to increase profitable turnover by 2020, therefore the role of the Business Development Manager is a key appointment.

As the Business Development Manager you key duties will include:

  • Identify new business opportunities through meetings with potential clients, construction professionals, specifiers and suppliers, while maintaining the position of the company as the number one choice of partner with our materials suppliers.
  • Working to stringent targets, the jobholder will be required to adopt a professional and business knowledgeable approach to each new call.
  • Maintain existing business relationships, identifying and acting upon new opportunities.
  • Determine margins achieved in the business and thus will be responsible for making the business case, including margin analysis, for any new business.
  • Lead generation and therefore cold calling will be required.
  • Create, negotiate and close commercial agreements.
  • Provide market feedback to the company leadership regarding competitive offerings, & prospective needs.
  • Workings patterns to be agreed but are subject to flexibility.

The successful candidate will have a proven track record in significantly increasing profitable sales in a business to business environment. You will have strong skills in building and maintaining long term professional relationships at all levels
