Buyer/Purchase Administrator

£20,000 - £25,000 + Package


Our client is a well-established contractor based in Greater Manchester who specialise in design & build and the refurbishment /fit out of restaurants and bars on a large scale.

They are looking to recruit a Buyer/Purchase Administrator to join their growing administration team.

You will be responsible for:

  • Purchasing materials and consumables in a timely and cost-effective manner.
  • Checking purchase invoices to ensure that they are appropriate for payment.
  • Resolving any disputes, referring them as appropriate.
  • Sourcing suitable suppliers and creating/managing professional relationships.
  • Completing general administrative tasks associated with the purchasing unit.
  • Assisting other members of the Administration Team when and where required.
  • Keeping all documentation required for the effective management of the unit up to date.
  • Checking purchase invoices for accuracy before being passed for payment.
  • Identifying and resolving any anomalies that arise.
  • Referring relevant purchase invoices appropriately.
  • Carrying out any general administrative tasks associated with the purchasing unit as and when required.

  • Previous experience is preferred
