£45,000 - £55,000 + Package

We are searching for a Project Manager to join a Cumbrian based home improvements business.

As Project Manager you will be required to manage the successful completion of a number of complex internal and external customer facing projects, from overseeing sales confirmations for the bespoke products to a residential customer base through to delivery of the contracts out on site.

Working to ensure that budget levels are met in terms of orders sent to production.

Commercial awareness is paramount to ensure that margins goals are achieved for the overall business performance.

You must possess attention to detail and well-rounded communication skills in order to interact with various customer types.


  • Consistently deliver high-quality, low-defect, on-time and on-budget homes.
  • Supervise the work of laborers, subcontractors, etc and give them guidance as needed.
  • Represent company in professional and positive manner
  • Demonstrate a strong knowledge and expertise in the following areas:
  • Problem solving
  • Written and oral communication
  • Job site cleanliness and presentation
  • Quality control
  • Project scheduling including critical-path scheduling
  • Construction science of all phases of construction
  • Plans and specifications
  • Residential building codes


  • Knowledgeable about the construction industry including construction materials, products, methods and procedures.
  • Managing a geographical business area an hour from Kendal
  • Ensure that customers have all the necessary information presented in a clear and concise manner to ensure awareness of the product they are going to receive.
  • Effective Communication is key in understanding and interpreting customer design requirements.
  • Effective organization skills are required in ensuring deadlines and forecasts are met.
  • An eye for design and initiative should be utilized where producing technical drawings for bespoke products.
  • Identify system changes or improvements to streamline day to day processes.
  • Must have thorough knowledge of the trades, vendors and equipment needed to complete the job, plus the ability to identify potential opportunities for improvement.
  • Ability to multi-task and prioritize several tasks without compromising quality of work or project deadlines.
  • Proven organization skills in a high paced work environment.
  • Ability to review, analyze and interpret information as well as trouble-shoot to solve problems.
