Our Client, a well-established Commercial Fit Out Main Contractor based in the North West have an excellent opportunity for a Senior Quantity Surveyor to join their growing team. They are a highly regarded organisation with an exceptional track record of delivering high quality.

Due to successfully winning work they now have a requirement for a Senior Quantity Surveyor based in the North West area. Contracts they tender for are CAT A and CAT B commercial fit out schemes with the values of work ranging from £200k to £10m, depending on the size of the specific project with repeat and new clients.

Role and Responsibilities of the Senior Quantity Surveyor:

Responsible for all the commercial aspects of projects from appraisal and validation of subcontractor applications

Cost Valuation Reporting

Submission & Negotiations of Final Accounts

To maintain established profit margins

To price all works in line with current market conditions

To improve where possible company profits

To ensure contracts are financially controlled, to budget and to the clients requirements

To manage target costs

To prepare monthly cost reconciliation for the Director

To undertake site visits in preparation of all tenders and take photographs

To prepare tenders based on estimating procedures First line of the role description

The Successful Senior Quantity Surveyor should be:

Substantial experience in managing and surveying in the construction industry

A Thorough knowledge of Current Forms of Contract

Computer Literate

A Proven Track Record

Outstanding Organisational and Excellent Time Management Skills

A suitable and recognised qualification in building would be an advantage

Should have stable employment with the company/group for three or more years

Professional Qualifications and/or Institute Membership

Ambitious & innovative long term team player

Excellent communication skills both spoken and written
